PRELIMINARY SPECIFICATION

The CommScope XGS-PON ONU Model SF2101XG is a G.9807.1 compliant, data only, bridge mode ONU, for indoor commercial and residential customer premise applications. The ONU provides operators with an off-the shelf plug and play high-speed service access and distribution device for deployment with CommScope’s XGS-PON Optical Line Terminal (OLT) platforms. With OMCI provisioning support, the ONU is designed to support multi-vendor interoperability with other XGS-PON OLT vendor systems. The ONU requires minimal setup and configuration to enable operation andprovides support for 10/10 Gb/s symmetric XGS-PON modes of operation. For connection to various subscriber-side premises equipment, the unit supports one 10GE auto-sensing RJ45 port and one 1GE auto-sensing RJ-45 port, at 100/1000BaseT. The ONU supports bridged mode operation,with standards and protocol support to enable numerous commercial services and premise demarcation applications.
